Mission Statement for The e.Lib, Inc.

and All of its Websites

Last updated: June 10, 2024

The e.Lib has been organized to:

  • Serve as a resource for all who seek to enrich their lives and expand their knowledge and understanding through exploring the resources presented via the Internet by The e.Lib (electronic library) at http://www.elib.com/, making literary and other intellectual works available free or charge or at the lowest possible cost to the people of the world.

  • Provide archival services to preserve literary and other intellectual works available only in deteriorating condition (e.g. typescripts, newsletters, handwritten lecture notes, out-of-print books, photographs, drawings) by converting them to electronic format and presenting them at The e.Lib.

  • Volunteer our personal services to transfer literary and other intellectual works to electronic format in order to present them at The e.Lib.

  • Receive literary and other intellectual works translated into various languages and transferred into electronic format by volunteers in order to present them at The e.Lib. Volunteers currently include individuals from the United States, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Austria, Spain, France, Australia, and South Africa. Languages currently include English, German, Spanish, Norwegian, Russian, and French.

  • Maintain Internet web services in order to present The e.Lib online, including acquisition and maintenance of equipment and software, and leased Internet access line(s) and cloud services.

Steiner Quote

“Just as around us are the harmonies of the spheres, the harmonious heaven, so all around us is the Chaos, all things are permeated by it.”

— Rudolf Steiner
